The Idea

Pixhood was inspired by Berlin's legal graffiti walls — spaces where anyone can create art, layered on top of each other, ever-changing. I wondered: what if we could have a similar thing in the digital world? An ephemeral collaborative canvas anchored to real locations, where pixels fade after 24 hours and no single person owns the result.

How It Works

Open the map, zoom in, pick a color, and paint. Every pixel is tied to real-world coordinates. Pixels disappear after 24 hours, making room for new art. Zoom in close enough and you get a 16×16 sub-grid for detailed work. It's collaborative — you'll see other people's pixels appear in real time as you watch the map.
